Diamond is the hardest material known to man, while cubic boron nitride, better known as CBN, is the second hardest known material.

The strength and durability of these superabrasives makes them ideal for producing grinding and cutting tools. Diamond and CBN tools are used on materials where quality, cost and productivity objectives cannot be achieved with conventional abrasives, and they are ideal for use on very abrasive or hard-to-grind materials.

Diamond and CBN tools are generally cutting or grinding tools that contain superabrasive grains adhered by a metal or resin bond to an aluminum or steel core.

Diamond tools are mainly used for grinding alloys and nonferrous materials. CBN tools, on the other hand, are predominantly used for cutting steel or iron.
